Whereas most of the products on the market are only available in polished brass, polished chrome and satin chrome, British manufacturers are able to provide products in a huge array of finishes both modern and traditional. All of our British made products are available in not only the three finishes listed previously but also in antique brass, satin brass, un-lacquered brass, real bronze, imitation bronze, polished nickel and satin nickel. Some of the manufacturers go further to offer even more bespoke finishes such as polished bronze, rustic bronze, oil rubbed bronze, dark bronze and antique nickel among others which include distressed versions of some the finishes already mentioned which offer a more rustic and traditional feel.

One other advantage that puts the British manufacturers in a league of their own is their ability to manufacture bespoke products. It is often the case, especially on older buildings, that if an original product fails or generally needs replacing that the design of product is no longer available. In order to keep the original design style that is seen throughout the building or to copy an existing product it is necessary to get a specific product made to a certain specification. This is possible as many of the manufacturers still have many original castings or can indeed replicate old products.

Furthermore it is possible for a variety of completely bespoke products to be manufactured from conceptual drawings and design ideas, although this may be restricted by tooling and other costs depending on the number of products to be made. Some examples of what we have done in the past for our clients include the replication of original fittings from a grade 2 listed building and at the other end of the scale some contemporary chrome cupboard knobs.

As you can see there are many advantages to selecting British made ironmongery products, not only do they offer a high quality, well made product in a number of finishes but in supporting our manufacturers we are helping to drive our economy forward. The only thing to consider with these products is that they do carry a lead time of up to 4 weeks as many of them are made to order.

Sacramento & Nebraska Levers on Square Rose

The first two handles we have added to our collection are levers on a square rose. The first design is a sleek angled lever, ergonomically developed to allow comfort in use. The second lever on square rose also has ergonomics in mind as it features a dimpled thumb rest, which not only adds to the handle comfort but also adds to the overall style of the handle.

In addition to the levers on square rose we have added four levers on round rose. Three of these designs are available in either polished or satin chrome finish and the fourth is a dual finish lever handle of both polished and satin chrome finishes together. All of the designs are contemporary in style, however this is certainly not to say they will not look great in a more traditional setting that needs a modern twist.

As with all of our levers on rose accessories are available for bathroom doors to lock with a thumbturn and have the release option on the outside to allow the door to be unlocked should anyone get locked in or need assistance. There are also escutcheons available for doors that require locking with a key, these are available with both standard and euro profile key ways.

The remaining new additional cupboard handles all feature a dual finish, with either polished chrome matched with matt satin chrome or polished chrome with a satin nickel finish.
